Welcome to Thelemic Logos!

Aleister Crowley was born 12th of October 1875 and celebrated his greater feast on the 1st of December 1947. He created a philosophy (some argue religion) called "Thelema". This website explores topics which are likely to be of interest to practitioners of Thelema. Crowley was an occultist, mystic, hedonist, and sexual revolutionary, but the thing which he possibly excelled best at, was write.

This is not a beginner's "intro to Thelema" site; rather it is a site for those involved in Thelema and other forms of religious/spiritual gnosis to communicate about their experiences and ideas through the art and science of the written word.

Words themselves have been long associated with divinity. The scribes who had the ability to write in ancient socities were those with power, and even in non-literate societies, those who spoke the myths led the tribe. Words are ideas in their communicative form; and ideas are what make leaders out of mankind. Those who can harness the power of the word, written or spoken, are the ones we remember through history.

Henry David Thoreau, American philosopher, said: "A written word is the choicest of relics. It is something at once more intimate with us and more universal than any other work of art. It is the work of art nearest to life itself. It may be translated into every language, and not only be read but actually breathed from all human lips; not be represented on canvas or in marble only, but be carved out of the breath of life itself. The symbol of an ancient man's thought becomes a modern man's speech." It is in aspiration to this sentiment that I aim to write, and communicate.

Topics to be covered may include sexuality, mysticism, magick, kaballah, orders and organizations, personal experiences, et. al. The topics are often in essay format.
